About the project
Since 1972, Southside United Housing Development Fund Corporation (Los Sures) has been dedicated to rebuilding the South Side of Williamsburg, Brooklyn by investing in a safe and sustainable neighborhood. Today, the organization provides a multitude of much-needed services, including the creation of low-income rental housing, cooperative housing, and single-family homes, in addition to the operation of a senior center and a food pantry.

LISC provided a $600,000 revolving line of credit to support predevelopment costs related to multiple projects in Los Sures' pipeline. At the time of closing, two specific projects had been identified. The first included the rehabilitation of 55 units in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood that will be available to families at 60-80% AMI. The second project involves the renovation of six buildings containing 124 units in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn.
