Founded in 2021, Future of Cities is a mission-driven organization and consortium dedicated to transforming communities worldwide through the co-creation of sustainable cities.

Future of Cities is located in Miami, FL.

LISC provided a $7 million construction loan to finance the acquisition and adaptive reuse renovations of two office/warehouse buildings in Jacksonville, Florida's historic Springfield community. The subject buildings will be the core of a planned unit development known as the Phoenix Arts and Innovation District that involves repurposing the buildings into vibrant spaces, including offices, co-working areas, retail outlets, and artist studios. The project is designed to foster economic development in the urban core, focusing on the Low-to-Moderate Income opportunity zone within the historic Springfield community of Jacksonville.
