About the project

Monadnock Development LLC was founded in 2017 by the owner of Monadnock Construction, Inc., Nicholas Lembo. Affordable housing has always been a major focus of their work - Monadnock has successfully completed more subsidized housing developments than any other company in the City. Monadnock also has a focus on high-performance building systems and is currently completing the first high-rise Passive House building in NYC.

San Juan Health Center, Inc. was founded in 1967 by Dr. Richard Izquierdo as a one-site facility in teh South Bronx working to provide comprehensive and affordable primary and specialty health care services to the community.

Both Monadnock Development and San Juan Health Center are located in New York City.

LISC provided a $4.56 million loan to support predevelopment costs for a new, multi-tenant building in the Bronx. Tenants will complement each other with health care and associated medical uses, creating a 21st Century Health Hub in the Longwood Section of the Bronx. Tenants will include San Juan Health Center, a pharmacy, imaging services and other health-adjacent organizations.
