NFL Foundation – LISC Grassroots Field Grant Program Funds 15 New and Refurbished Community Football Fields
Over the last 25 years, LISC has teamed up with the NFL Foundation to award nearly $65 million in grants to create or refurbish more than 435 community football fields where youth can play and stay active. The latest round of the Grassroots Field Grant Program will fund new fields or field enhancements in 15 cities and towns across the U.S.
Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation Commits $6.5 Million To Refurbish Fields at Four Historically Black Colleges and Universities
Historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) often have smaller endowments than large universities, which can limit athletic facility upgrades. That's why $6.5 million in funding from the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation for HBCU field improvements is such a big deal. Thanks to this funding, along with support from the NFL Foundation and expertise from LISC, four HBCUs in Georgia and Alabama will kick off their football seasons this fall with refurbished fields.
LISC Receives $2M Grant from The DICK’S Sporting Goods Foundation to Renovate Sports Spaces for Youth in Under-Resourced Communities
With a new $2 million grant from The DICK’S Sporting Goods Foundation, LISC opens a second application round for Game On-Community Places to Play, an initiative that funds the renovation of indoor and outdoor athletic spaces for young athletes, particularly in under-resourced communities. The deadline to apply for a grant is September 5, 2024.

The DICK’S Sporting Goods Foundation and LISC Award $1.275 Million to Upgrade Under-Resourced Community Sporting Spaces in 14 Cities and Towns
Every community deserves safe, quality sports facilities where youth and their families can play and socialize. Thanks to the Game On-Community Places to Play Initiative, a partnership of LISC and The DICK’S Sporting Goods Foundation, under-resourced neighborhoods in 14 cities and towns now have funding to improve their local youth sports facilities.
Atlanta United Community Fund Awards $3.36M for Next Phase of GA 100
The Atlanta United Community Fund (AUCF) announced it has awarded an additional $3.36 million for the next phase of the GA 100 campaign to construct up to 30 additional mini-pitches across Georgia. AUCF is now accepting requests for proposals in partnership with LISC for a matching grant of up to $100,000.
