Umpqua Bank Partners with LISC to Expand Affordable Homeownership Programs in West Coast Communities

With a new grant from Umpqua Bank, LISC is working with local organizations in three states to fuel equitable homeownership opportunities in low-to-moderate income communities, especially for people of color. "This kind of capacity-building support is like oxygen for nonprofits, and we are so grateful to Umpqua for recognizing the value of flexible funding for racial equity in homeownership,” said LISC President Denise Scott.

LISC Receives $17 Million HUD Section 4 Award to Strengthen Community Development Groups Across the Country

LISC Charlotte Kicks Off with $2M in Operating Support

With initial funding from the city, foundations and banks, the new LISC Charlotte office opened its doors last week and announced its first program activity—a $25,000 capacity-building grant for Historic West End Partners, a high-impact local nonprofit. LISC Charlotte expects to invest at least $25 million to promote economic opportunity in the city’s neighborhoods over the next few years.
