LISC announced today that John Moon is joining the organization to lead LISC Green LLC, a new affiliate that will spearhead LISC's Green House Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF) activities and investments and help deepen LISC’s impact in sustainable community development. “These resources will help expand affordable housing to address our national housing crisis, expand income and wealth-building to offset local economic challenges, and make our communities healthier and more resilient,” Moon said

LISC has named Rob Lockett, an innovative philanthropic and business leader, as the new executive director of LISC Detroit. Lockett most recently served as the team leader for national housing stability at Rocket Community Fund. “Rob knows how to connect the dots from capital to community to long-term positive impact,” noted Dr. Ruth Jones Nichols, LISC executive vice president for local and national programs.

Dr. Jones Nichols will oversee LISC’s 37 metro-area program offices, Rural LISC and all its national programs. In addition to her federal leadership experience, she brings to LISC decades of experience working at the local level on critical issues related to housing, jobs, racial and gender equity, education and food access.

LISC has named Jorge Cruz as executive director of LISC Greater Newark, a decades-long community investment program that has delivered more than $169 million to New Jersey neighborhoods, businesses and community organizations to support economic opportunity and growth.

With deep personal and professional experience in rural community development, Villagrán, a veteran LISC staffer, will build on nearly 30 years of Rural LISC investments in affordable housing, workforce development, economic growth and culture.
